Education & Capacity Enhancement

Makueni Youth Network partners with NGOs and government Institutions to assess learning outcomes, system accountability, and analyse gender gaps in education. We then translate evidence into action by engaging and lobbying duty bearers to enact responsive policies and allocate adequate budgets that address identified learning and equity challenges.

Advocacy & Civic Engagement

Makueni Youth Network equips young people with civic knowledge, skills, and confidence to actively participate in governance and accountability processes. We amplify youth voices to influence inclusive policies, enhance service delivery and ensure resource allocations in youth programs.

Leadership & Talent Development

Makueni Youth Network nurtures a generation of confident, values-driven young leaders who are equipped with practical skills to lead change across social, economic, and governance spaces. Through structured training and mentorship, we empower youth to harness their potential, access opportunities, and take up leadership roles in their communities.

Who We Are

Makueni Youth Network (MYN) CBO was founded in 2014 to build a vibrant movement of young people committed to driving positive change across social, educational, economic, and political spaces. MYN is grounded in the belief that meaningful youth development can only be attained when young people are deliberately included in the planning and implementation of policies, programs, and investments that affect their lives. We organize, empower, and mentor young people through leadership development, education and capacity enhancement, and pathways to decent work and sustainable self-employment, enabling them to become active agents of change. To achieve lasting impact, MYN values strong partnerships with development actors, county and national governments, civil society, and the private sector to co-create inclusive and sustainable solutions.
