Leadership and Business Development

It is the entry point for all members of network. Each member must complete the leadership track, where they are equipped with 21st century leadership skills, project management, business communication, advocacy, and teamwork. The idea here is to activate member’ leadership passions, desires, and abilities, in order to attain a stronger sense of self-confidence, motivation, and teamwork. Makueni Youth Network’ belief is that when young people are equipped with the right leadership skills, knowledge, confidence and attitudes, they are capacitated to be valuable members of society. Beyond equipping members on soft skills, this program empowers young people to take advantage of youth-friendly financial services and products such as Tetheka Fund, Uwezo Fund, YEDF, WEF, and NGAAF. By the end of this program, participants must exhibit capacity to perform and activate their financial skills, abilities and confidence to develop viable business plan required in the marketplace. Upon completion, the participants are also coached to start or scale up existing a business, or even mentored on work¬ readiness skills.
